1. I still remember a lot great players refused to join Liverpool during Rafa Benitez, Dalgish, Rodger & Roy Hudson Era. There were serious interest of top players but most of them rejected or laughed at us cuz liverpool not even qualify in champion league. 3. If there are any negative opinions about Nunez, they just understand football. So not sure how he "splits opinions"?

   He's quick, like lightning-fast. He was measured as the quickest player in the Champions League last year. Not saying he is, but he's in that conversation
   He is 6ft 2, and has a sold frame. He doesn't mind getting physical
   He's good in the air and is decent with both feet
   He scored a lot of goals last year, it was a progression from the year before, and his finishing became more clinical
   He has scored against good quality competition, like Liverpool
   He is an energetic presser of the ball
   He wants to come
   Suarez, who knows a thing or two about strikers, has been pushing for him to go to Barcelona, now Athletico. He really rates him and tells the club he's at to sign him.
   He can play left wing, the main striker And a second striker.

   The money isn't important. Either we can afford him or we can't. Haaland would have been 120-150 mil, he's more advanced in his career but he's more injury-prone due to his physique. The only reason Haaland wasn't so much was that his team put in a release clause earlier so he can ask for more wages.

   80 million is the right price for the market and the talent. In 3-4 years, if he moves on at 26, the market is likely going to be 150-200 million.

   If he doesn't quite make it, we'd sell him for 40-50 million at 25 years old. So the risk is 30 million, and his salary expectations are not the same as someone like Kane, Son or Haaland.

   There is absolutely no reason to NOT sign him. Assuming Liverpool have the budget.

   Diaz, Nunez, and Salah would give Liverpool the quickest attack in world football. With plenty of skill and ability to beat a player. Nunez won't be expected to score 30-40 goals, because Liverpool have Jota, and Salah, who are also prolific.

43. As a Liverpool fan, when we faced Benfica, my first thought was that Nunez would suit Man.Utd.perfectly. But when the stories about Mané is leaving arised, I immiadtly thought of him as a perfect fit for us as well. Kind'a lot like Klopp would have thought i believe.

47. I do agree there are clips of this guy being a bit clunky, but if we do get this deal over the line Nunez will be playing in a completely different team and obvious style of play. The look on VVD face in champs said a fair bit about this guy when he scored at Anfield. The guy has killer instincts when there is a sniff at scoring. It's not as if he is walking in and will be our number 1 forward, we probs won't even start him for the first 10 games anyway. The guy isn't an out and out number 9, he does like to drift out wide and find space in between defenders.
    I'm pretty dam happy if we sign this guy, I mostly want Pool to stay up the top and be competing year in and year out. We don't look like fading at all, we continue to bring in players ages 21-25.
