Why Charmander Is a Cool Pokemon

Everyone in this world at some point has heard of Pokemon by now. And as a result people around the world have to come to have their own favorite Pokemon that they like a lot especially. Well in this article I am here to convince you why Charmander is a cool Pokemon and hopefully he will be able to enter one of your favorites by the end of this.

1. His Fire typing

One of Charmander’s strongest points is his cool and unique typing. Charmander is a fire lizard style Pokemon, which makes him have a very unique build and design surrounding him. He has a flame and fire rested on his tail that would give out and eliminate his life span immediately is the flame was drenched and extinguished by water of any kind, luckily such an important feature is durable for such a delicate Pokemon.

2. Variety of cool moves

Charmander and its lineage of evolution is known to be able to learn a variety of cool movies and techniques. Charmander can learn a variety of moves like Fire type attacks and even Dragon Type attacks as well. Some of its Dragon movies include moves like Dragon Rage in which it can usually learn in most generations or Dragon Claw usually as a TM by teaching it. These moves prove highly effective towards Dragon Types and other strong Pokemon. It can also learn stuff like fighting moves like Focus Punch and Brick Break and Rock Type attacks like Rock Tomb and Rock Slide as well. Ghost Moves like Shadow Claw are also in its arsenal and some more to mention are moves like Aerial Ace, Sunny Day, Dig, Rest, Iron Tail, Secret Power and so much more.

3. Cool evolution line

And last but not least Charmander’s evolution line is very cool and a major strong point of this Pokemon. At level 16 this little cool fire lizard Pokemon will evolve to an even bigger fire lizard with much more power and speed to pack it with. It gets even more cooler once it evolves at level 36 into its final form Charizard, in which is an even greater prize because it enables to be able to fly and learn flying moves thanks to its newfound wings. And if you have later generations from X and Y forward you can take advantage of evolving into its mega forms both X and Y version and have to opportunity to have an even stronger Charizard at your disposal.

And with that you have a solid explanation on why Charmander is such a cool Pokemon. If you haven’t already don’t hesitate to add this Pokemon to your arsenal and team since you can utilize him to your best of your ability at hand.

Wide Receivers – Catch the Ball at the Highest Point

A wide receiver has his best shot at preventing a defensive back from defending the pass if he catches the ball at it’s highest point, but what does that actually mean. It means the receiver should reach for the ball and catch it with his hands, meaning catch the ball as far away from the body as possible. Sometimes that does mean bending over to catch a low throw, but at the highest point of the balls trajectory when it is close enough to catch.

This is a relatively easy thing to practice and can be done alone or with someone throwing the ball to you. If you do have a partner, stand approximately 5 yards apart and lob the ball towards your partner, trying to keep the ball above the receiver’s head. The receiver will stand waiting until the ball is close enough to catch, reach out and catch the ball as high as possible. If the ball is high enough to make the receiver jump for it, simply jump, timing it so that you not only catch the ball as far away from you as possible, you want to time it so that you are at the highest point of the jump.

If you do not have a partner, no problem, simply throw the ball straight up in the air and again catch it at it’s highest point or the highest point of your jump.

This drill will can always be varied to fit the situation, more people and just one ball? Just form a triangle and throw the ball between the three of you.

This simple drill will pay huge dividends on the field because it will increase your feel for where the ball is going, body position and hand strength.

Ahmedabad – The Manchester of India

Does Ahmedabad require the nickname ‘The Manchester of India’ any longer? Because apart from this rightful claim, it’s also a city that has the potential to grow further and further and become a mega-city because it’s already a metro and after Delhi, Calcutta, Bombay, Madras and Bangalore comes Ahmedabad in size, population, impact, location, among others.

India’s best MBA institute is in Ahmedabad which conducts one of the toughest entrance exams in the academic world of not just India but across the globe.

Mudra has its advertising institute. Vikram Sarabhai Space centre is here. The city is throbbing with life, exuberance, vivacity and brio.

The Telegraph of Calcutta called it ‘India’s culinary city’ in its food survey of 2002. It’s indeed a city of foodies. If you’re a vegetarian, you’ve a wide spread of vegetarian delights to choose from. Rajasthani, Gujarati, Marwari, Punjabi and other states’ signal dishes as well as typical ones can be easily available.

Non-vegetarians also have a mind-blowing array of cuisine to choose from. The climate is wonderful. City has tradition and trendiness juxtaposed beautifully.

Gujarati people love cricket. Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel Cricket stadium has the capacity to accommodate over 50 thousand spectators. Sabarmati river runs through the city.

Ahmedabad (official capital: Gandhinagar) has a famous university known as Gujarat Vidyapeeth.

Being very close to Bombay, the significance of Ahmedabad assumes greater proportions. One British traveller who visited the city in 2002 wrote in The Spectator (London) that Ahmedabad was far greater than Manchester in terms of fabrics, fashion, fun and freedom.

In short, Ahmedabad has emerged as an important economic and industrial hub in India. It’s the second largest producer of cotton in the country.

The ‘first-look richness’ of the city decides the wealthy status of Gujarat state. City is dotted with cloth mills. Arvind Mills is one such significant name on the canvas of city’s fabric scenario.

Morarji Desai once said, the very mention of the Pin Code 380007 brings the image of Ahmedabad before our eyes. Yes, its Pin Code is its identity and vice versa.

Despite a few riots taking place in Ahmedabad, it’s still a city where people love to live in a peaceful co-existence. And this is the mark of a city and its liveliness. A visit to western India is incomplete without seeing Ahmedabad. Though Bombay still has an unbeatable charm, Ahmedabad doesn’t lag behind in any sense.

To sum it up, ‘Ahmedabad is the undisputed cotton king/ It’s also a city, suitable to a commoner and king’ (read in an Indian Airlines’ flight magazine in 2006). So very true…

Lastly, India’s billiard and snooker legend Geet Sethi lives in Ahmedabad.

Denis Law Was the King of Stretford End

The great Denis Law was born in Aberdeen on the 24th February 1940 and he began his soccer career as a wee boy playing for Aberdeen Lads Club. When Law left the Granite City to join the once great Huddersfield Town, he was only 15 years old and and it did take him long to make his debut for his native Scotland against Wales in 1958.

The legendary Sir Matt Busby reputedly wanted the promising Denis Law to play for Manchester United but was turned down by the Terriers. Bill Shankly, who was the manager at Huddersfield Town at the time, then tried to take Law with him to Liverpool. However, the Liverpudlians didn´t have the money to take the prolific marksman out of Yorkshire. Instead, the vastly talented Leeds Road youngster went to Manchester City when the Maine Road club paid a then British record transfer fee of £ 55,000 for him in March 1960. After a rather disappointing spell with famous Italian club Turin, he returned to Lancashire finally signing up for Busby´s Manchester United in 1962. Denis Law opened the 1963-64 season on a bright note and was deservedly picked out to play for a Rest of the World side against England at Wembley. As a Manchester United player, the Scottish international won every major domestic honor, although injury kept him out of the European Cup Final against Benfica at Wembley in 1968.

Denis Law returned to his old club Manchester City in 1973, and retired from football in 1974 after playing his last match in the World Cup in West Germany. During his 585 matches for his clubs, he managed to score a massive 300 goals. He also scored a total of 30 goals for Scotland in 55 matches. In 1964, Law was voted European Footballer of the Year as the only Scotsman to this day. Always in the best of spirits, Denis Law was no doubt one of the greatest entertainers ever witnessed on the British soccer scene. He was not only a Danny Kaye look alike, he also closely resembled the American comedian when performing some of his antics on and off the football pitch.

Italia Serie A Soccer – AC Milan Lost Another Key Game

The 17-time champion of the Italian Serie A, the AC Milan, lost again another important game in the Italian Serie A after, being defeated for team Sampdoria 2-1 on Sunday. With this defeat, AC Milan is getting away from the top team Inter Milan, who has now 60 points. Currently AC Milan has 48 points, 12 points away from Inter and 5 points away from the second place Juventus, which has 53 points. Also, with this result, some critics’ doubt that AC Milan could even battle for the Scudetto this season, but Coach Ancelotti still has a hope for his team.

During these past two weeks, the results of AC Milan haven’t been positive; first losing against Inter Milan 2-1 on week 24 of the season, then exiting the UEFA Cup in the Round of 32 against Werder Bremen with an overall score of 3-3 (with the away goal rule in favour of the German squad) and now losing against the 14th place Sampdoria 2-1.

As well, there’s some rumours about that Carlo Ancelotti is in risk of getting replaced at the end of the season; however, the owner of the AC Milan franchise, Silvio Berlusconi, has expressed that the job of Ancelotti is safe for now, especially since he knows that the manager is dealing with injuries in some key players and as a result the positive outcomes have not been easy to accomplish.

Nevertheless, Carlo Ancelotti is sure that his team will get better these following weeks as he expects that players like Kaka, Ronaldiho and some others will come back to the field.

«It is no doubt a difficult moment, but I am sure that things will get better soon. As soon as we recover our injured players and get a chance to train adequately, we will get back on track. I think it will take a couple of weeks but you will soon see a very different side,» stated Ancelotti.

Another concern for the AC Milan is the departure of the English midfielder David Beckham, who is leaving on March 9th to reunite with his team, the LA Galaxy. The retention of the midfielder has been a constant drama these past weeks in Italy, due to the fact that he was becoming an important part of the AC Milan late success and they want him to stay, however LA Galaxy did not want to make any negotiations over his player and now the superstar Beckham has to leave to comply his contract with the MLS team.

Despite all these difficulties, AC Milan players, Coach Ancelotti and the franchise are hoping that things will get better, so they can achieve their only and last objective, which is obtaining the third place of the standings at the end of the season to get a berth in the Champions League.

The next game of AC Milan in the Italian Serie A will be against Atalanta on Sunday March, 8th at San Siro and the hopes are set in having several injured players back in the field. This also will be a special day as this will be David Beckham’s last game with the «Rossoneri».

The Night Hawk, the World’s First Stealth Bomber

When I visited the USA in 1998 as part of the air staff team, we were quartered at one of the USAF bases. At one end (that area was kept off bounds) we could see dark bat shaped planes. They were part of the secret arsenal of the USAF and from my knowledge; I knew that this was the famous stealth fighter. It was given the number as F-115 and called Night Hawk. The plane at that time was the most advanced in the world and nobody had anything like it.

Technology was Russian

The Night Hawk cost 111 million dollars apiece and was discontinued in the USAF after 25 years and replaced with the F-22 or Raptor. Never the less the F-117 was something unique and incorporated the stealth technology. This technology was published in a research paper presented in 1964 by a Russian scientist named Pykr. The Russians ignored this paper but the engineers at Lockheed studied the paper in detail. In effect, the Prof has stated that a plane could be made that could allow the radar waves to bounce off the plane and thus render the aircraft invisible to detection by radar. it could only be sighted visually.

It meant making a plane with an unconventional design. it had to have angles of construction, that were of a particular slant so that the radar waves could bounce off. The plane thus had the look of a bat and was christened the Night Hawk. The Night Hawk first flew in 1981 and a few years later was inducted into the USAF. The Night Hawk was a revolutionary design and for 5 years the Americans kept it secret before the world came to know of this unique plane. The Russians rued the development of the F-117 and wondered how they had missed the bus.

Operational use

The Night Hawk was put into operational use and used extensively in the air bombardment of Iraq, during the 1992 US-Iraq war. The plane despite a slow speed of some 660km/hr could not be detected. It had limited range of about 1000 km and thus for a target, it needed mid-air refueling. It carried no defensive armaments relying on its ability to attack a target undetected. It carried 2 x 1000 laser guided bombs, that could penetrate even 12ft of concrete and was thus a force multiplier. The Russians were however hard at work to perfect their own stealth fighter and the US the need of another plane was felt. Research started and this led to the led to the Raptor, which had a longer range and flew at 3 times the speed of the Night Hawk. Once the Raptor was ready for combat duty, the F-117 was phased out, but it served the US interests for 25 years. During this period only one Night Hawk was lost in combat over Serbia when a Russian missile was able to hit it. The pilot was rescued in a dramatic rescue mission, but the plane crashed. Russian engineers as well as Chinese salvaged parts of the plane and took it to Moscow and China in an effort to understand the stealth technology. Parts of the plane can see be seen in the Museum at Belgrade.

Last word

The F-115 remained the only stealth fighter in the world during the days of the cold war and even after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the plane was the mainstay of US offensive action. It was used extensively in Afghanistan when the USA mounted an invasion and no plane was lost despite missiles

Conquer Stress and Anxiety Naturally With This Safe and Effective Method

Rhodiola Rosea is the latest natural remedy to join the arsenal

of natural anxiety and stress reducers.

Rhodiola Rosea, also known as Golden Root, is a native plant of

arctic Siberia. For centuries it has been used by eastern

European and Asian cultures for physical endurance, work

productivity, longevity, resistance to high altitude sickness,

and to treat fatigue, depression, anemia, impotence,

gastrointestinal ailments, infections, and nervous system

disorders.

The first recorded medicinal applications of rodia riza (renamed

Rhodiola Rosea) was made by the Greek physician, Dioscorides, in

77 C.E. in ‘De Materia Medica’. Rhodiola Rosea has been included

in official Russian medicine since 1969.

Despite its long history, the Western world has only recently

become aware of the health benefits of Rhodiola Rosea. It has

come to the attention of many natural health practitioners

because of studies which tested its affects on combating anxiety

and stress.

Rhodiola Rosea is considered an adaptogen. This means it has an

overall stabilizing effect on the body without disrupting other

functions. Its ability to normalize hormones may be effective for

treating depression and anxiety.

Studies of Rhodiola Rosea show that it stimulates

neurotransmitters and enhances their effects on the brain. This

includes the ability for the brain to process serotonin which

helps the body to adapt to stress.

Since adaptogens improve the body’s overall ability to handle

stress, it has been studied to identify it’s effects on

biological, chemical and physical stress.

A study was performed to test the effects of Rhodiola Rosea when

stress is caused by intense mental work (such as final exams).

Such tests concluded that using Rhodiola Rosea improved the

amount and quality of work, increasing mental clarity and

reducing the effects of fatigue.

The effects of Rhodiola Rosea have also been tested on stress and

anxiety from both physical and emotional sources. A report by the

American Botanical Council states that «Most users find that it

improves their mood, energy level, and mental clarity.» They also

report on a study that indicated Rhodiola Rosea could increase

stress tolerance while at the same time protecting the brain and

heart from the physical affects of stress.

This report included details of studies which highlight the

overall health benefits of Rhodiola Rosea.

The generally recommended dose is 200-600mg/day. The active

properties should be a minimum 0.8 percent salidroside and 3

percent rosavin.

It is important for consumers to know that Rhodiola may be sold

using other species that do not share the properties of Rhodiola

Rosea, or at ineffective strengths for treatment. Anyone with

depression or anxiety should also check with a health

professional when treating these symptoms.

Paul McCartney – The Beatles – A Biography

James Paul McCartney was born on June 18, 1942 in Liverpool. He was the first son of Mary and James McCartney. His brother, Peter Michael McCartney, was born eighteen months later. Paul’s mother was a midwife, who died from breast cancer in 1955 when Paul was just 14, this troubled Paul deeply. Paul’s father was a cotton salesman during the day for A. Hannay Co., and a jazz musician with Jim Mac’s Jazz Band at night. Paul did very well in school. He passed his 11-Plus examination in 1957 and entered the Liverpool Institute, a very popular high school. There, he met a younger student by the name of George Harrison whom Paul later brought with him into John’s group, The Quarrymen. As a child, Paul showed no particular interest in music. Both he and his brother were sent to piano lessons, but these didn’t last long. Then he was given a trumpet by an uncle, and he began to teach himself. His musical talent probably came from his father. Of all The Beatles, Paul’s family was the only one with any musical background or interest. At the Liverpool Institute, Paul became popular. His dealings with young girls, however, had little effect on his grades. He was a top student, but he soon found that school was interfering with his social life. Like John and the others, Paul was influenced by early rock songs. Still, it was Elvis that formed the greatest impression on him. Paul first met John through a mutual friend, Ivan Vaughan. Vaughan invited Paul to see The Quarrymen play at the Wooton Parish. c The Quarrymen, and Paul accepted. Paul’s first public performance with The Quarrymen was at a dance at the Conservative Club in Broadway. Paul was supposed to play a solo that night, but for some reason, he never did. What he did do after the dance was play John some songs that he had written himself. John was impressed and later tried to write songs of his own. Neither wrote anything of much value, but the two began collaborating, each egging the other on to better works. From that day until the end of The Beatles, they never stopped, and together they became «Lennon & McCartney,» one of the most renowned song writing duos of the twentieth century. Once they had become established songwriters, Paul and John would often write independently of one another. John’s songs were more raw rock ‘n’ roll, while Paul’s tended to be more romantic. Songs like «Yesterday,» «Michelle,» and «Lovely Rita» are typical McCartney songs. An early agreement between Paul and John assured that all Beatle songs that either wrote would bear the trademark of «Lennon & McCartney.» Paul met Jane Asher at a pop concert at Albert Hall. She was then seventeen. The Radio Times asked her to go along to the concert to give her impressions of The Beatles. After the concert, she was invited back to their hotel for a drink. That night Paul and Jane spent the evening together. «I realized she was the girl for me,» Paul once said. Jane, however, summed up her impression of the boys by exclaiming, «They couldn’t believe I was a virgin. » Paul wanted Jane to give up acting to be with him constantly. She refused. This led to a number of arguments, but Paul was still attracted to her. It was for Jane Asher that he wrote «I’m Looking Through You» and «And I Love Her.» Marriage seemed inevitable, and on Christmas Day, 1967, Paul asked Jane to be his wife. She accepted (Bio..)(Paul Mc…)

In 1969 rumors started to spread that Paul was dead. Rumors of the death were exaggerated. No one knows for sure where the «Paul is Dead» rumor began. Some rumors were spread that Paul had been dead for three years and that he had been replaced by a look a like. Beatles fans everywhere looked for clues that were left intentionally in lyrics, record covers and pictures that would reveal the truth about the hoax.

The idea that Paul McCartney was dead for three years surfaced during the release of Abbey Road in September of 1969. The first indications of the hoax were printed in two Midwestern College newspapers (Iowa’s Drake University Times-Delphic and Northern Illinois University’s Northern Star). Russel Gibb, a Detroit radio jock for WKNR FM read about the story in the college newspaper articles and invented new «clues» for listeners. Listeners called the radio station and claimed to be able to hear secret messages by playing Revolution #9 and other songs backwards. A walrus is a Greek symbol for death. In the song Glass Onion, John Lennon sings, «well here’s another clues for you all, the walrus is Paul,» which connected Paul to his «death».

According to one myth. Paul left the recording studio in anger, following a fight with the rest of the group. Paul stormed out of the studio, jumped into his car and sped off (I Buried P…). All of the clues point to a car accident that reportedly happened prior to Paul leaving the studio in anger. On November 10, 1966 a British newspaper reported that on Wednesday morning at five o’clock someone was involved in a car accident, according to the newspaper the accident was so bad that the body could not be identified in any way. In A Day In The Life, John Lennon sings, «he blew his mind out in a car, he didn’t notice that the light had changed, a crowd of people stood and stared, they’d seen his face before, nobody was really sure if he was from the house of god (in the song god sounds like Paul)(I Buried P…)

Many visual clues were on the Abbey Road LP. The media began reporting the joke as a fact as soon as it was released. The rumors began to grow larger. In October of 1969 McCartney himself made a public appearance in which he stated the breaking up of The Beatles. In a 1970 Rolling Stone interview with John Lennon, Lennon was asked if any of the hidden clues were supposed to have any meaning. Lennon replied, «No. That was bull. The whole thing was made up.»

The Beatles enjoyed attention. They were jokers; maybe they were just having a little fun with their fans. Some people today still believe that Paul is dead because of the many convincing clues. No evidence shows that any of the members were behind the hoax. No one can prove that it did or didn’t happen. The fact of the matter is that Paul is alive today. He is currently married to an ex-model. He is touring the concert world. And he is still a Living legend.
