Beginners Tips For Online Sportsbooks

Online sportsbooks have defied all odds and become the most preferred betting platforms by most bettors. Their popularity is rising at alarming rates due to their simplicity and the user friendly features they offer. But how can you best benefit from online sportsbooks? Here are some of the tips suitable for both rookies and actively participating sports gamblers alike.

a) Try To Evaluate Common Betting Odds

The best and most secure way to learn online sportsbooks is by following and understanding the possibility of any successful bet to occur. You need to realize that betting lines usually correspond to the $50 mark. In cases where the figure is negative, then the bettor is obliged to bet a specific number of times to win the $50. For instance, whenever a betting line is -200, then it is mandatory that you gamble $200 to secure a $50 gain. But what if the betting line is positive? (e.g. +150). Here the rule states that you will gain a $150 profit for every $50 you bet. It simply means that you can make $50 extra if the betting line is positive instead of negative.

Also, if the betting is positive, there is always a guarantee that the bet is returned to the bettor collectively combined with the interest made. For example, if the betting line was +180, you are always assured of making a $230 profit which comes together with the $50.

It is necessary to know that we have used the $50 example as a betting line in this context but it can be any figure.

b) What Online Sportsbooks Are You Familiar With?

You can participate in any online sportsbook as long as you know the betting odds. There are three commonly recognized types of sports bets, which include the moneyline, the total and finally the side.

A «moneyline» bet is the easiest and fastest online bet type. It doesn’t involve many attributes; it is simply a bet made on who will be the winner between the opponents. Bettors can give any stake which normally doubles if the team the person supports wins.

Another common online sports bet is the «side.» The side is usually used by the betting liners to find the equilibrium between the two gambling sides. This is a complicated type of bet but is widely used by US gamblers. For instance, if the lines maker decides that Arsenal leads Manchester United by 15 points and you decide to support Arsenal -15, then you are likely to obtain the odds of -65. This is only if Arsenal beats Manchester United by 15 points. But the condition is reversed if Arsenal gets less than 15 points. In this case Manchester United is declared the winner. Lastly, in the case of a draw, all the bets are returned to the gamblers. This is called a «push.»

The «total» is also another popular online sports bet. But how is it played? It is a bet that determines the overall points summed up from both parties in any sporting event. The lines maker may decide to set a specific point total such as 30. If one decides to bet less than that mark, this is called «under,» otherwise it is called a «push» for any bet above the 30 point mark. A draw bet is also called a «push,» which directly implies money should be returned to the bettors. However, it is not easy to bet a draw and as such the lines maker normally creates a betting line where it is possible to find the winner.

With these tips about online sportsbooks, I think you can eventually rise up and become an expert sports bettor.

Most Popular Soccer Players – Ronaldo, Beckham, Mia Hamm, Brandy Chastain

If you type those words into your search engine, the answer you will get right now is probably going to be: Cristiano Ronaldo. With looks that rivals super star, David Beckham and the talent to boot, Ronaldo is a superstar soccer standout that actually can play the game. Like most little boys, he started playing when he was young, around age eight but really started to be noticed two years later. Now, at the relatively advanced age of twenty-two, Ronaldo has racked up 53 goals in over 200 matches. Impressive numbers at any age.

And what about Beckham? His move from the UK to Los Angeles was supposed to spark US interest in the sport of soccer. He is one good looking man, but his injuries may well keep him from really making the sport as popular here as it is worldwide. His professional career began at sixteen when he started played for the Manchester United team. He was asked to join Britain’s World Cup Team in 1997. Even when he is not playing soccer, Beckham is a popular figure, his endorsement deals and stunning good looks make him very, very well known.

For me, the word «soccer» will always make me think of Mia Hamm. Her stats are impressive and not just when compared to women- her stats are phenomenal across the board. Mia started playing at age 12 and just three years later played with the US National Team- making her the youngest to ever play for her country at that level. She is one of only two women listed on soccer great Pele’s list of » The 125 Best Soccer Players of All Times» and has won the FIFA Player of the Year Award twice. ( In 2001 and 2002). Hamm scored 158 goals in 275 matches in her career and played in the Women’s World Cup twice (1991 and 1999). She was also a member of the gold medal Olympic team in 1996. On a personal level, Mia Hamm has always been described as the quiet, and unassuming member of the team. She is an excellent role model, especially for young women who are bombarded with images of scantily clad, morally bankrupt pop stars.

Of course, if we are going to talk about Mia Hamm, we have to talk about Brandy Chastain as well. Even people who could not tell a soccer ball from a bocce ball knows who Brandy is. After a thrilling victory, a triumphant Ms. Chastain whipped off her top, revealing her sport bra and sparking a veritable media frenzy. Over 90,000 people were in attendance for that event, not to mention the people watching at home and the countless replays. It has been on a variety of sports related count downs, including «Best Sports Moment Ever» to name just one. Not only did she spark interest in soccer for young girls, but the sale of sports bras jumped dramatically.

Every sport has their popular stars. They are not always the flashy players, or the best looking. Sometimes they are the players that bring something extra to the sport and to the world around them. A little touch of class, or a generous soul. Those are the players that win hearts and then keep them forever.

Lionel Messi V Cristiano Ronaldo – Who Is the Greatest?

Last night saw yet another epic El Classico where Lionel Messi and Cristano Ronaldo continued their ongoing battle for World supremacy. Barcelona and Real Madrid played out a spectacular 2-2 draw with Ronaldo and his arch nemesis Messi scoring all of the goals. These two players are taking the art of a footballer to whole new levels, but whilst there is no denying that they are the stand-out talents of their generation, and perhaps of all-time, the ongoing question is' who of the two is the greatest? ' Whilst there is no definitive correct answer to this, the widely held view over recent years has been that Messi is the King and Ronaldo the very talented Prince. However, the gap between the magical Argentinean and the Portuguese adonis appears to be closing, with some feeling that Ronaldo now deserves the crown of 'World's Best Player'.

Despite often playing just behind the main striker, Messi seems to be able to score from anywhere and everywhere. Last season, at the age of only 24, he became Barcelona's all-time leading scorer. In addition to that he also broke the 39 year old record which was set my German super striker Gerd Muller for most goals in a single European season. Amazingly, Ronaldo has managed a similar record to Messi and their overall 'goals to games' ratio since 2009 is almost identical. Despite starting his career as a winger, Ronaldo's 'eye for goal' became apparent under Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. His trademark 'dipping' free-kicks and solo goals prompted Real Madrid to break the World transfer record to bring the Old Trafford hero to the Bernabeu. Just as Messi can often be found collecting the ball in his own half, Ronaldo often drifts back in search of possession, and is also found in wide positions tormenting the opposing left and right backs. Given the fact that neither player is what is referred to as a 'goal poacher' makes their records even more unbelievable.

With regard to awards, both team based and personal, Messi is the clear winner at present. He has won the Ballon d'Or three years running (much to the obvious dismay of Ronaldo!), And his La Liga and Champions League silverware outweigh Ronaldo's.

In conclusion it is evident that both Lionel Messi and Cristano Ronaldo are head and shoulders above any other current players in World football and there are no signs of this changing any time soon. Given their relatively young ages there is every possibility that they will go down as the two greatest players in the history of the sport. For all the achievements of Pele, Maradona, Eusebio etc, there is already a case to be made that Messi and Ronaldo have matched and surpassed them all. The fact that two such players are present in the same era, playing in the same league and at almost the same ages makes the comparison slightly easier, so here goes …

Lionel Messi is currently the 'World Greatest Footballer' with Cristano Ronaldo an extremely close second. The fact that Lionel Messi has been officially awarded this title three years running with the Ballon d'Or adds weight to the argument. That along with minor points such as his superior assists record, the fact that he has consistently made more appearances than Ronaldo and that his all-round team-play is slightly better just edges it for the Argentinean genius at present. In Ronaldo's defense he is the faster / stronger physical specimen, has better heading ability and does not have a Xavi or Iniesta to link up with, but this just doesn't quite level it – for now !!!

History of Middlesbrough Football Club

Middlesbrough Football Club was originally founded in the late 19th century. The club had varying degrees of success but it wasn’t until the times prior to the 2nd World War that the team was in good enough shape to challenge for the major trophies. This team graced by the likes of England internationals like George Hardwick and Wilf Mannion although never winning a trophy, was said to have been capable of going on to win the league had it not been for the outbreak of the war.

It wasn’t until the 70’s arrived that the club had any degree of major success again. This team, containing the likes of David Armstrong and Greame Souness coached by the great Jack Charlton formally a Word Cup winner with England had been the best seen for a while. The promotions seen over this period although impressive produced no trophies to behold.

Into the 80’s the club almost went into liquidation, and if it wasn’t for the financial assistance of a consortium lead by the now chairman and successful businessman Steve Gibson then the club might has disappeared. A boost to the re-emergence of the club in 1986 was funds appreciated by the sale of a number of talented youngsters who had come through the youth system, including but not limited to Gary Pallister and Colin Cooper.

In successive years after the take-over ‘Boro’ as they are affectionately know by their fans cemented themselves as a side good enough to get out of the 2nd tier league but not quite good enough to stay in the top league for very long. An example of this yo-yoing nature being the inclusion of Boro in the very 1st year of the ‘Premier League’ but relegation the year after.

In 1994 Boro attracted probably their highest profiled manager to date in the shape of former England and Manchester United captain Brian Robson. Using the crutch of the squad left to him by his predecessor Lennie Lawrence swell as some good decent professionals like Nigel Pearson and Steve Vickers, who had been brought in, he took the team back into the Premiership. A new season in the top league and the moving into a brand new 30,000 all seater stadium saw a new sense of belief and optimism around the town. This sense of belief was backed with funds and with the captures of the likes of then England international Nick Barmby and the magnificent Brazilian international Juninho the club had one of the best teams in a long time. Boro were to retain their premiership status in the years following, and with the captures of the likes of Champions League winner Fabrizio Ravinelli and the Brazilian powerhouse Emerson football fever was taking over the town. Riding this support the team went on magnificent runs in both the League and FA Cup. Disastrously heartache would soon follow though and Boro fell at the final hurdle in both cups and as if to add insult injury a deduction of 3 points for failing to turn a team out against Blackburn saw the club relegated back to the 2nd tier.

Although the relegation would see the team lose Juninho and Emerson, they were able to capture the high profile Paul Merson and with hope still high the club was dominant in both the League and League Cup seeing them win promotion straight back into the top league and reach the final of the League Cup. The successive season would see boro retain their premiership status but seasons after saw results getting progressively worse culminating in the decision by the board to bring in the experienced former England coach Terry Venables to work alongside Robson. The decision bore fruit and the club was to avoid relegation. Support for the club was dwindling though and change was wanted. The upshot of this being the reluctant sacking of Robson and the bringing in of the then Manchester United assistant manager Steve Mclaren.

Mclaren would bring solidarity to a haphazard team with his strong work ethic and love of professionalism. The football was boring to watch but the team was never to look like relegation material. With this new professionalism and continued financial backing the club would cement their position in the top league, putting behind it the yo-yoing years. Another cup final soon followed and this time Boro were the victors leaving with their first ever major trophy in the shape of the League Cup. This victory would see Boro’s first ever qualification for Europe. The following season would see Boro qualify again for Europe with their best ever Premiership position. The season following this would see Boro push all the way to the EUFA Cup Final, making McClaren the most successful manager in the club’s history.

McClaren though, on the back on his triumphs has recently left the club for the dizzy heights of coaching England. The club has now a great set of players, a great setup, as well as top class youth and reserve teams. With this and recent successes, and the likelihood of continued financial backing, a new manager with worthy credentials I would have thought is only around the corner. And whatever future this brings for the lowly north east football club is yet to be written.

Ok so I’ve been getting a lot of dms asking me about my views on the current situation at spurs. So these are my views. —————————————————— something is seriously wrong at spurs behind the scenes that I feel like poch is hiding. He is benching are main players just because of an apparent uncertainty about there stance on the club, how are they going to want to stay if there benched. Also as fans we are overlooking poch. 4 wins out of 15 games is disgraceful, this isn’t even good for relegation standard ! I think it’s time to part with poch, i know he’s done big things for our club but I’m starting to believe he peeked in 2017, we need to part ways with him because he is so negative in press conferences and even said he’d leave if we win the champions league what sort of manager is that ! Kieran trippier said he left because of “what’s happening behind the scenes at spurs” and we all over looked that comment. I know it’s only one game but i think this is a sign. Maybe it was poch the whole time and not levy. Levy has backed poch a lot of times but still nothing has arrose from this and we still haven’t won a trophy after 11 years even though we are “premier league contenders” something is up here.
—————————————————— I’m sorry if you don’t agree with me but this is my personal opinion on the situation 💙
