  1. Juls is right about Mane. Think the gap between them 2 top teams will be greater than 1 point this time. Chelsea and Spurs are still going to bring in more quality before the end of the window. Like what Conte is doing: Perisic and Bissouma – good signings.

  2. Liverpool has got konate van dijk and matip in defence and Man city have stones Dias and laporte they have pretty good defence and now they are adding to their attack for more goals

  3. As an LFC supporter I can't help but be concerned about the loss of Sadio. He was the heart and soul of our attack and we can't just expect Darwin to fill that gap. Also if Salah's form at the end of last season continues (which I highly doubt) then we need to be doubly concerned.

  4. Context is important folks. If Mane goes, then it hugely weakens Liverpool. Nunez might be a good player but he is certainly no Mane right now.

PS : If Chelsea replace their players then I can imagine them being right up there too as I don’t see them having another season where their key players suffer long term injuries again along with off the field sanctions.

  5. Darwin is not signed to replace Mane. We already have players to replace Mane called Diaz and Jota. Darwin is signed to give a different option for Liverpool, especially Origi is leaving. We don't have an out and out striker since Torres

  6. We will miss Mane for sure esp his work rate and goals. However he was finished as a winger and not clinical enough as a striker.

  7. with this 2 players, Liverpool & Man City will go down next season! Chelsea will be the Champion next season! Chelsea is currently doing thing quietly in the transfer activity.

  8. I’m not a Liverpool fan but I’m betting this guy to impress and shut a few mouths. He is truly a brilliant prospect for the future and he’s considering with less pressure than Haaland to prove a point.

  9. People are ignoring what a huge impact the WC break is going to have. It takes place when City have peaked the last 2 seasons. Injuries are going to play a bug roll.

  10. Not really sure what the big hype is about this Luis Diaz. 6 goals in 26 games. Seems ok. Lukaku has 15 goals in 44 games which is a better goal ratio/game and still considered useless/ineffective..

  11. The other teams aren’t that far away. Just remember Liverpool finished over 30pt behind city in their 100pt season. All the pundits said the gap is too big so on United was poised to close it. All Liverpool did was sign VVD and Allison. It’s not the amount of signings that matter but the correct ones

  12. I get the excitement about Man city they have remained consistent for the last 8 years. However the hype around Liverpool is just an overreaction. Liverpool struggled in 2020/21 season. Won two trophies on penalties last season. Yet all other teams are supposed to be scared because they are replacing Mane (PL proven) with Nunes (a rookie).

Oh we are so scared ? ? ?… Liverpool are going to run away with second place next season ? ? ?

  13. …..
    CR7
    Rashford Dybala
    Fernandes
    De Jong Neves
    Shaw Maguire Varane AWB
    De Gea

    Kane
    Son Dybala
    Perisic Neves Bissouma Dumfries
    Bastoni Sanchez Romero
    Lloris

Aren't that easy to beat from Liverpool or Man city.
Chelsea too has a good team and Arsenal could be improved as well

  14. I’m a Liverpool supporter but how can Moreno say we’re better after replacing proven world class Mane with unproven Nunez? Don’t get me wrong he’s an exciting young talent but we need more top signings in midfield to be better

  15. People forget there was a player name zlatan Ibrahimovic who flop and hate to play under pep….. Just throwing it out there…. Nunez might be the next Andy Caroll…. Anything could happen in football…

  16. So is Klopp leaving his managerial career? A few years back he said if he spends 100M on a player, that would be his last day of his career, is this that day? ? money speaks everywhere, he might realise that, nobody can criticize city and Chelsea now hopefully

  17. Really wouldn’t surprise me at all if Chelsea were very good next season, even without strengthening the squad much. On paper their squad is top class. One or two additions and they could win the league. They’re the only ones bridging the gap if you ask me
